Cost: Workshop $3, Dance $5, or $15 a couple for both events
Details: Snowfall Ball 2013 will feature a Tango Dance workshop by Frank Hancock, popular area dance instructor. Frank and Maureen Hancock have been teaching ballroom dancing in Central Pennsylvania for the past 14 years. In that timeframe they have taught over 11,000 students how to dance. Frank and Maureen presently teach at Shippensburg University, Dickinson College, the US Army War College, Iron Forge Elementary School in Boiling Springs, the Dillsburg American Legion, and St Johns Church in Chambersburg.
The workshop will be followed by an open dance from 7 pm – 10 pm with Frank performing the Cha-Cha as a spotlight dance at 8:30 pm. Tickets are available at the door. The Snowfall Ball is Presented by Kelly Rife, Certified Health Coach – Take Shape for Life. Susquehanna Bank is sponsoring the Music, Café D’Italia is a Table Sponsor and Tuscarora Mountain Winery is the food sponsor.

Details: Don’t miss the 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off – the hottest event at Icefest – sponsored by Dr. Paul Orange! Both amateur and professional cookers vie for cash prizes and the title of the BEST CHILI in the region. The Butcher Shoppe, HCR Manorcare, Jerrold Sulcove for Judge, Lininger Family Floor Covering, Manitowoc Crane, Red Lion Spicy Foods, Reesey’s Chili, Rondo’s Chili, LIU12 Franklin County Literacy Council, Travis Miller, Fuddrucker’s, Texas Roadhouse, Adams-Hanover Counseling Service, Inc. & Webb’s Sports Bar have signed up to compete. And are you tough enough to enter the annual hot pepper eating contest at 1:30? Whoever eats the most pepper will also walk away with $25. Beer is available from Chambersburg Beverage and there will be live music from Voxology – sponsored by The Chambersburg Club.

Details: Who says “fireworks” are just for the summer months? This will be the 7th year that Schaefer Pyrotechnics of PA will light up our winter skies with a dazzling show on Saturday at 6:30pm. The best viewing is from the Southgate Shopping Center parking lot facing West. Tune your radio to 103.7 during the show-they will be playing all Patriotic Music from 6-7pm. The Fireworks show is sponsored by Paran Management and the Franklin County Visitors Bureau.

Details: A quest that will take you up and down Main Street searching out the clues that will help you answer the questions on your list! Answer all of the questions correctly and you will be put into a drawing for great prizes!! 2 age groups: 11 & under and 12-18. Forms must be completed and turned into the registration table by 2:45pm. Drawings at 3:00pm. Hot chocolate will be available at no cost!
