  • If you’re interested in local history and want to know more, stop by the Heritage Center (100 Lincoln Way East).  It is the starting point for exploring history in Franklin County and it is a site on the PA Civil War Trails.  There is also a gift shop with unique Chambersburg items.  Open 8am-5pm Thu-Fri and 10am-3pm on Saturday

  • “Celebrate IceFest” custom designed ice sculptures on display (throughout downtown)

 WEATHER UPDATE: Due to the rain, all live carving will be postponed this evening, as well as the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Live carving and the placement of the one block sculptures will take place Friday, January 27th.

  • World Class Cake Decorators Compete in “Icing on the Cake” held at the Capitol Theatre Wood Center. Amateurs and Professionals are invited to enter a carved or stacked cake that represents this year’s theme “Celebrating a Decade” Each contestant who enters will choose their favorite decade and design a cake around it. The decade can be in the past, present or future.  Prior to the fireworks the doors will be closed for final voting.  Don’t forget to return following the fireworks for free cake which will be served to the public for everyone to enjoy.
